Mother Mary
Mother Mary (Anne Hathaway) is a megastar—on stage a glamorous and incomparable presence, but behind the scenes exhausted and alone. Overwhelmed by the pressure of her highly anticipated stage comeback, she seeks refuge with her former friend and confidante Sam (Michaela Coel), a fashion designer who helped shape Mother Mary’s iconic style at the beginning of her career.
The two women have not seen each other for many years, and the rupture in their friendship runs deep. In the midst of her personal crisis, Mary asks Sam for help: to design an outfit for her upcoming return. As the new costume takes shape, old conflicts resurface, long-buried truths are revealed, and deeply hidden wounds reopen.
As the boundaries between the present and painful memories begin to blur, the two women embark on an emotional journey with an uncertain outcome.
