When Madalena's father dies, he leaves behind the script for a B-movie and the film crew to go with it. During the stylish funeral service held in the theatre, she decides to produce the space adventure herself, even though she will be heavily pregnant when filming begins. Then the difficulties pile up: director and ex-husband Davi mysteriously disappears, no one else from the crew wants to take over the directing, the weather is bad and there is no money. But Madalena does not let herself be deterred. Even during her ultrasound scan, she moves heaven and earth to get the film made before the baby is born. Noá Bonoba is a force to be reckoned with as Madalena, carrying the entire queer community around her and growling when necessary. With plenty of humour and a joyful use of colour, the film addresses power dynamics and egos on film sets while celebrating cinema as a collective endeavour.
