Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Part of the special series THE MAGIC OF TERRY GILLIAM.
When the mythical King of the Britons leads his knights on a quest for the Holy Grail, they face a host of terrors - including a persistent Black Knight, a three-headed giant, a cadre of knights who have to contend with shrubs, the dangerous castle of Anthrax, a murderous rabbit, a house full of maidens and a handful of rude Frenchmen.
MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL, a satirical reworking of the saga of King Arthur and the quest for the Holy Grail, was the first feature film by British anarcho-comedy troupe Monty Python and also the directorial debut of its only US member Terry Gilliam and co-director Terry Jones. The comedians' TV show "Flying Circus" was already highly successful in Great Britain at the time of the film's release - through their feature films, the Pythons also achieved cult status outside their home country.
