Miller’s Crossing

A man, a hat and a war that even those involved can hardly understand: MILLER'S CROSSING is an elegiac gangster film about loyalty, betrayal and the emptiness behind power. Gabriel Byrne navigates between two rival bosses (Albert Finney and Jon Polito) as their cool ‘right-hand man’. The Coens stage the genre as a moral chess game – stylised, cryptic, full of riddles. And in the end, a man without a hat.
