MES FANTÔMES ARMÉNIENS (MY ARMENIAN PHANTOMS)

In a cinematic dialogue with her father - a well-known Armenian actor who died in 2020 - Tamara Stepanyan interweaves the stories of her family, her country and Armenian cinema and reflects on her own role as a director. Filmmakers such as Sergei Paradjanov and Artavazd Pelešjan find their place in the film, as well as internationally lesser-known names and the women who worked behind the scenes. Stepanyan uses film clips, private recordings and spoken text to create a touching document of great historical relevance.
