Me dicen el panzer tells the life story of football legend Rommel Fernández Gutiérrez in feature film form. Rommel grows up in El Chorrillo, a neighbourhood in Panama City. He discovers his passion for football at an early age, but also becomes increasingly aware of his family's difficult situation. While he dreams of one day becoming a successful player, he is also forced to deal with the bitter consequences of poverty, violence and social inequality, which shape his everyday life and repeatedly force him to make difficult decisions.
