Maria träumt

Maria has to start a new career. The old lady whose household she managed for many years has died, and so Maria starts as a cleaner at the Académie des Beaux-Arts in Paris. There, a whole new world opens up to her: the dynamism of the cosmopolitan students, their creative art projects and, last but not least, the encounter with the caretaker Hubert. The chemistry between the grumpy codger and the cleaner is right from the start. Maybe it's because of his Elvis hip swing, which he secretly practices in the office? Enthusiastically, Maria lets herself be taken out of the daily grind of her long-standing marriage. She discovers her own creative power and longing for something new, which have found no expression for far too long. A deep bond develops between her and Hubert, while her zest for life reawakens. Will Maria find the courage to start all over again?
