"There are two people in me, Maria and La Callas."
The central theme of this very personal portrait is an unpublished TV interview with David Frost from 1970, around which director Tom Volf arranges an immense wealth of different testimonies such as private photos and videos, recordings of her performances and letters. It is always Maria Callas' words that tell the story of her life. The cleverly arranged collage also bears witness to a great era and shows footage of famous companions of the opera diva such as Grace of Monaco, Luchino Visconti and Elizabeth Taylor.
