Mann im Schatten
A lady has been murdered! Wealthy fashion manufacturer Miriam Capell is found dead in her bathtub. The grumpy and grim Chief Inspector Radosch (Helmut Qualtinger - to this day the prototype for numerous imitators in the field of Austrian crime fiction) has several options for the culprit: Was it the young house mate who is also flirting with Miriam's niece? Was it a mysterious business partner who wanted to fleece her? Or was it perhaps even Herbert Fux, Radosch's pianist and chess partner, who rushes through the streets to a nightclub at the beginning of the film: ‘I've killed someone!’ - Deservedly a classic of the domestic crime film, sleazy and smug and eclectically elegantly staged by all-rounder Arthur Maria Rabenalt.
