Hundwil: a Swiss village. 12 houses around a square. The people who live in these houses. In the centre, the men's community. The ‘direct democracy’. Women's suffrage, an event of the century. A traditional world with its values and forms. This traditional order is confronted with the new era. The old, gender-specific categorisations are no longer absolute. At the same time, the world of an insecure new generation in search of identity, faith and the future.
