Exactly 10 years ago to the day, on May 14, 2015, MAD MAX: FURY ROAD celebrated its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival! We are taking this as an opportunity to show this “orgy of loud and louder” (Observer) on the big screen.
In a bleak desert landscape, where humanity is depraved and almost everyone is willing to go to extremes for the necessities of survival, live two outsiders: Max, a man of action and few words, who seeks peace of mind after the loss of his wife and child - and the elitist Furiosa, a woman of action who believes she can ensure her survival if she makes it out of the desert to her homeland. Just when Max has decided that he is better off alone, he encounters a group in a battle wagon with Furiosa behind the wheel. The fugitives, including Splendid and other ex-slaves, have escaped the warlord Immortan Joe, who is now pursuing them - because women have become a commodity, as valuable as water and gasoline.
