Los Lobos
Single mum Lucía leaves Mexico with her young children Max and Leo to build a new life in the USA. The family, who have only travelled with the bare essentials, sleep on the floor of the sparse one-bedroom flat they move into for 500 dollars. The children spend their days inside the room, while their mother pursues various jobs outside. It is important not to be discovered by the migration authorities under any circumstances, which is why Lucía tells her sons seven rules of behaviour on a tape recorder that they must observe in her absence - including: never leave the room, don't look out of the window! But children wouldn't be children if their imagination, which makes them invent flying wolf superheroes, and curiosity didn't drive them outside ...
Samuel Kishi Leopo tells his own story in an unagitated way, a story of loneliness, but also of solidarity between migrants.
