Lola
1941 in London. The sisters Thom and Mars have constructed the LOLA machine, which can receive radio and television snippets from the future. They listen to cult music before it is written, place sure-fire bets and live out their inner punk before the movement is even invented. As the Second World War escalates, the sisters decide to use LOLA for a good cause and intercept military information from the future. Their time machine is a great success in the British fight against the Nazis, changing the course of the war and ultimately history. Thom is increasingly seduced by LOLA's power. But LOLA is not infallible. The futures she shows are not necessarily the truth. Mars only realises the fatal consequences of her game with time when it is too late: it was not the future that LOLA showed them, but a fiction that will now inscribe itself into time and create a completely different world.
