Little Women
Four young women in mid-19th century America who want to shape their lives in a self-determined way according to their own ideas, sometimes overcoming great social obstacles in the process: LITTLE WOMEN follows the diverse lives of the March sisters, Jo (Saoirse Ronan), Meg (Emma Watson), Amy (Florence Pugh) and Beth (Eliza Scanlen), at a time when opportunities for women were limited. Told from the perspective of Jo March, the alter ego of author Louisa May Alcott, and based on both the novel and Alcott's personal writings.
LITTLE WOMEN tells of the desires, dreams and feelings of four young women in the mid-19th century that seem as modern today as ever before. Director and screenwriter Greta Gerwig's adaptation is a truly extraordinary film full of passion and energy.
