Life to the Limit

Almost exactly two years after the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, we are proud to present an extraordinary documentary filmed on the frontlines in and around Donbass, which puts this harrowing conflict in its proper historical context. The viewer is also reminded that the invasion actually began a whole decade ago, in 2014 with the Russian annexation of Crimea. A very personal project by director Robert Peleshok and producer Yurko Ivanyshyn (responsible for the Oscar-nominated film Winter on Fire: Ukraine's Fight for Freedom), which draws on their own memories and archive material on the one hand, and includes new footage showing the horrific reality of the war on the other. The end product is an unforgettable, endlessly inspiring mosaic of wartime horror and enduring resistance.
