Let’s Get Lost
On the occasion of a brand new 4K restored version, we are showing the phenomenal documentary about Chet Baker.
‘Chet Baker - Let's Get Lost’ portrays the life of jazz trumpeter Chet Baker, a virtuoso and genius on the wind instrument. However, the musician's own drug addiction got in the way too often. Interviews with friends, family, long-time companions and lovers provide an intimate glimpse into the early days of Chet Baker's musical talent as well as his final years, which were repeatedly characterised by returning and excessive drug use. In the course of his career, he was one of the most successful and best-known jazz musicians of his time and shared the stage with the greatest representatives of the genre. Even though he tried several times to overcome his drug addiction out of love for music, he finally broke down due to the madness of intoxication.
Let's Get Lost was nominated for an Academy Award in the Best Documentary Film category in 1989 and won the Critics' Award at the Venice Film Festival.
