Let the Dance Begin (Empieza el baile)
Carlos and Margarita were once the most successful tango dream couple. Countless performances and journeys, shared with their loyal friend and driver Pichuquito, shaped their history together. But those days are long gone. Carlos now lives in Spain, and contact with Margarita has faded. An unexpected event, however, brings the trio back together in Buenos Aires. They decide to set off in their old VW van on a journey to the Andes to uncover a secret from their past. Along the way, the trip rekindles not only fond memories but also reveals surprising truths.
In her bittersweet road movie, director Marina Seresesky reunites Argentine acting legends Mercedes Morán (The Motorcycle Diaries) and Darío Grandinetti (Don’t Die Without Telling Me Where You’re Going) on the big screen. With humor, tango melodies, and unexpected twists, the film tells a story of longing, coming to terms with the past, and the rekindling of old love.
