Leibniz: Chronik eines verschollenen Bildes

Prussia, 1704. Queen Charlotte misses her former teacher Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz. Because he can no longer be at her disposal in Lietzenburg Castle with his wise answers to the big questions of life, she commissions a painting of him. Leibniz is happy to fulfill her wish, but the portrait sessions with the great thinker prove to be a challenge. Only the young painter Aaltje van de Meer is able to meet him on equal terms. Soon, a passionate exchange about the relationship between art and reality develops between her and the philosopher.
