In the beginning there was the egg. Or was it the chicken? On a poultry farm, there is little time for such existential questions. Our feathered heroine manages to escape from a battery cage and finds refuge in a dilapidated restaurant on the Greek coast. There, she discovers love, navigates the human pecking order, and fights to protect her eggs from the greedy owner. The hen witnesses theft, smuggling, and shady dealings.
