Le ravissement

30-year-old Lydia earns her living as a midwife. While she is very successful in her job, she is less fortunate in her private life - another of her relationships has broken up. At the same time, Lydia learns from her best friend Salomé that she is pregnant. She is also asked to accompany the pregnancy and bring Salomé's child into the world. One day after the birth, when Lydia is spending time alone with Salomé's baby, she meets Milo, a former one-night stand. She then passes Salomé's child off as her own. She also tells Milo that he is the biological father. Milo is initially suspicious, but then fully embraces his new role as father. Lydia tries to keep up the lie.

Iris Kaltenbäck grew up in France as the daughter of a French mother and an Austrian father, he comes from Graz, and has an American stepbrother. After studying law and philosophy at university, she joined the screenwriting department at La Fémis film school. In 2013, she was an assistant to theater director Declan Donnellan at Les Gémeaux, a renowned theater in the Paris region. In 2015, she made her first short film "A Visit from the Stork", which won a prize at the Brussels International Film Festival. She received the Junior Prize at the Sopadin Awards for her film "Still Shot". "Le Ravissement" is her first feature film.
