Le otto montagne

Pietro the city boy and Bruno, the last child of a forgotten mountain village: Over the years, their paths diverge. Bruno remains faithful to his familiar homeland, while Pietro is drawn out into the wide world. Nevertheless, he always returns to the mountains. These encounters of the two introduce them to love and loss, remind them of their origins and they discover what it means to be true friends for life.

The film adaptation of the novel of the same name by Paolo Cognetti is a story of setting out and returning, a drama full of nuances against the breathtaking backdrop of the Italian Aosta Valley.
