Late Night – Die Show Ihres Lebens

A late-night show presenter fears she could soon lose her job.

For over 30 years, Katherine has been the face of the talk show ‘Tonight with Katherine Newbury’ - appreciated by her colleagues and adored by her audience. But behind the scenes, she is an arrogant egomaniac. When she is accused of being a ‘misogynist’, she spontaneously hires the inexperienced newcomer Molly - as the first woman in her team of writers. But the ratings plummet and Katherine is replaced by a hotshot comedian. To save her head, she has no choice but to spice up her late night show in record time. The determined Molly proves to be a real stroke of luck. She does everything she can to give her unapproachable boss an update - even if it costs her her job!
The film was directed by Golden Globe winner Nisha Ganatra (THE HUNTERS), who cast LATE NIGHT with a top-class cast including Golden Globe and Oscar winner Emma Thompson, Mindy Kaling, who also wrote the screenplay and produced the film, multiple Emmy and Golden Globe winner John Lithgow, Reid Scott and Hugh Dancy.
