Last of the Wild
The title says it all: LAST OF THE WILD is about a predator trainer from Germany, a gamekeeper in Siberia and a body modification activist in Mexico - and the almost extinct tigers they have to deal with in their everyday lives. While the one, as a tamer, combines seemingly contradictory lifestyles, the other tirelessly searches for danger despite his scars, the third has transformed himself into one by means of surgery in an act of self-empowerment.
Nevertheless, the question of the ‘wild’ in and around us is one that we all deal with in one form or another: How do we as modern humans deal with our own untamed-ness in a seemingly civilised world? (Florian Widegger)
