Las Parades Hablan

In his artistic testament, Saura examines the development and relationship between visual art and walls. The spectrum ranges from the 30,000-year-old cave paintings in Lascaux to graffiti art in the big cities of the 21st century, once again bringing together the main themes of his filmmaking: the significance of the past for the present, the question of the relationship between the works and their creators and those who view them. The filmmaker himself steps in front of the camera and meets street artists such as Miquel Barceló and Suso33 with the curiosity of a boy. On the walls of cinema history, Saura adds a final splash of colour to his picture with this ode to the power and unifying force of art.
