WithLone Fleming, César Burner, María Elena Arpón, José Thelman

Year1972

Duration89min.

Sun, siestas, bullfights - that's what Spain is famous for. And also for its rich genre film history, which blossomed in the final years of the Franco dictatorship with productions destined for export. The best-known franchise is undoubtedly de Ossorio's RIDING LIGHTS tetralogy about a cursed Templar order that rises from the graves at night and hunts for the blood of innocent tourists. The first part in particular impresses with its charming creepy atmosphere and effective staging. Afterwards, cult actor Paul Naschy slips into his favourite role as Baron Waldemar Daninsky, who is burdened by a centuries-old curse: When the moon is full, he turns into a werewolf and tyrannises the inhabitants of a village. Only the love of a woman can redeem him. Two 70s Euro horrors at their best, olé!
