La Hija Cóndor
High up in a remote community in the Andes, young Clara learns the traditional art of midwifery from her adoptive mother, Ana. Together, they care for the pregnant women of the surrounding villages. Clara also carries on the ancient Quechua songs that accompany childbirth, and she is known for her beautiful voice.
Secretly, Clara dreams of becoming famous as a folk singer in the city. Torn between her responsibility to her community and her own aspirations, she eventually leaves for the city—leaving behind a painful void in her home village.
