To fulfil a prophecy, the pharaoh wants to marry off an invincible general to a virgin slave girl. However, the young lady already has a suitor, while the army commander's relationship with his orderly does not appear to be of a purely military nature either ... Julio Bracho used only the basic Genesis story and a few ambiguously dense evergreens from the classic musical comedy of the same name (banned in Franco's Spain) to mix them with art deco sets and Brechtian alienation effects, ballet numbers, striptease interludes and Hollywood musical choreographies to create a hysterically hybrid spectacle of a decidedly proto-camp nature.
