La Collectionneuse

The fourth of Rohmer's six morality tales takes two friends, the art dealer Adrien and the painter Daniel, to a villa on the Mediterranean in the summer. There, the two dandies want to indulge in sweet idleness, but their plans are thwarted by the presence of a young woman who collects her lovers like rich people collect works of art. While she drifts carefree through the days and nights, the two men stand in their own way with their oh-so-strict principles: a timelessly beautiful summer film. (Florian Widegger)
