While it was still amateurs who dominated the pitch at the beginning, the legendary Wunderteam centred around Hugo Meisl and Matthias Sindelar ensured an unprecedented international triumph in the early 1930s. The last appearance of the striker and captain shortly after the Anschluss in the unofficial ‘reconciliation match’ against Nazi Germany is just one of many unique contemporary documents from the collection of the Filmarchiv Austria, which are presented in this compilation by Helmut Pflügl.
