Kurzfilmprogramm: Erste Arbeiten

Three first works (not the very first, because they are unfortunately lost): In NACHTSCHWALBEN, we observe two friends who get into an argument in the toilet during a visit to the disco - a mini-drama that perfectly captures the tone and immediately wins the prestigious Max Ophüls Prize. DIE FRUCHT DEINES LEIBES describes the pre-Christmas period through the eyes of a young girl, characterised by Catholic symbols and first sexual impressions, between glued-together statues of the Virgin Mary and stolen porn magazines - typically Austrian, you could say. SOMEWHERE ELSE deals with the everyday life and longings of young people in Sarajevo, traumatised by war.
