Koma
KOMA hints at the state of the main character: Hans is a taxi driver, but you never see him chauffeuring a guest; it's his birthday, but he doesn't attend the party. He wants to kill himself, but doesn't succeed. He has to wake up from his coma and go through various hells to get to where he actually belongs ... The film begins paradisiacally, tenderly: two people sit close to each other on a park bench, a bell rings in the distance - and then pans into a scene from a violent video that is difficult to classify. The story unfolds within this broad spectrum, in which the desire to transgress boundaries cannot be denied, but which demands an attitude from itself as well as from us viewers. An exceptional phenomenon! (Florian Widegger)
