Kinder der Hoffnung

Many years ago, Yael Reuveny left her native Israel to live in Berlin. 15 years later, the filmmaker returns to the country of her birth to find out what has become of her classmates from back then. A class photo from 1988 shows 32 girls and boys. Have they achieved their goals, have their hopes and wishes been fulfilled? How did the lack of peace with the Palestinians and dealing with the Shoah shape the Jewish Israelis in their age group? Through the short portraits of her classmates, Reuveny also paints a picture of a generation.
