How far are you willing to go to save the person you love most—your own child?
Driven by this question, ex-soldier Christian (Nikolaj Lie Kaas) sets out on a dangerous journey to Syria to bring his son Adam (Albert Rudbeck Lindhardt), who has joined an Islamist group, back home. The desperate search takes him to a brutal country ravaged by war. With each stage he completes, Christian learns more about himself and increasingly realizes that he must leave his beliefs behind.
