KADA JE ZAZVONIO TELEFON (WHEN THE PHONE RANG)

Novi Sad, 1992: Several phone calls throw eleven-year-old Lana's life into complete disarray: her grandfather dies, her country falls apart, war invades her world. Everyday games and last encounters with friends are the images, while an off-screen voice remembers feelings, sensory impressions, but also oppressive facts. Together with the theme of flight, the nature of memories itself is the focus of this autofiction, whose visuals could not be more fitting: 16 mm compositions rich in colour contrast as a longing for a lost time.
