Inland Empire
Nikki Grace (Laura Dern), a once-celebrated actress, is cast in the lead role of director Kingsley Stuart's (Jeremy Irons) new film. Shortly before production begins, Nikki and her co-star Devon Berk (Justin Theroux) learn that the film is a remake: it had been attempted years ago but was never completed, as the two original leads died before filming could be finished.
As Nikki steps into the role of Susan Blue, more and more mysteries begin to surround her, and the boundaries between fiction and reality, as well as past, present, and future, start to blur.
