Inland
After the film, discussion with the director and a representative of the group “WIR* gegen rechts”
INLAND follows three FPÖ supporters before and after the 2017 national elections in Austria: a waitress, an unemployed man and a minor civil servant. Socialised in red working-class families, they are now pinning their hopes on the FPÖ. All three feel very uneasy about ‘the foreigners’. At the same time, they long for a better life for ‘the little people’.
Inland provides intimate insights into their problems, fears and attitudes and paints a picture of a society in upheaval.
