Director Paul Harather created one of the most successful Austrian cinema comedies of all time with his award-winning film adaptation of the cabaret play written by Alfred Dorfer and Josef Hader: A tragicomic road movie about two seemingly incompatible characters who, in the course of a joint business trip through Lower Austria's inns, come to hate and love each other - and learn about life in all its varieties. Alfred Dorfer embodies the pseudo-intellectual yuppie Kurt Fellner, Josef Hader plays the dull but hearty redneck Heinz Bösel.
