In Bewegung: Ein Abend mit Stefanie Weberhofer
From 2022 to 2024, Stefanie Weberhofer traveled with her handy Super 8 camera in the area around the Dachstein mountain, collecting images of landscapes, encounters, and traces of change. IN MOTION brings together 14 works, divided into four thematic sections, that explore human-induced climate change—exploring, observing, without any didactic approach. The formal rules are strict: one cassette per theme, with a running time of approximately three minutes, and the editing is done entirely in-camera, without the possibility of correction. This reduction sharpens the viewer's perception and makes rhythm, chance, and presence visible. Feelings, moods, and thoughts are thus inscribed directly into the material: as fragile, highly concentrated snapshots.
Stefanie Weberhofer will project her Super 8 films directly from the cinema and discuss her work, which is also accompanied by a book published by Sonderzahl Verlag.
