Im toten Winkel. Hitlers Sekretärin
Traudl Junge was one of Adolf Hitler's private secretaries from 1943 until the collapse of Nazi rule. She worked for him at the Führer's headquarters in the Wolf's Lair, in the Berghof at Obersalzberg and on the special train in Berlin. In 1944, she witnessed the failed Stauffenberg assassination attempt. She experienced the last days of the war and Hitler's suicide in the Führerbunker in the encircled capital. It was also Traudl Junge who dictated Hitler's will.
In this documentary, 81-year-old Traudl Junge speaks publicly in front of the camera about her life, her memories, disturbances and self-reflections of this time. The film dispenses with all accessories and concentrates entirely on the narrator. In its sparseness, it is a film to watch and listen to, spectacular without special effects.
