Il primo giorno d´inverno (The First Day of Winter)

Valerio is a solitary adolescent who is unable to enjoy his marvellous age, unlike many of his peers: he limits himself to observing his companions, trying to imitate them and find excuses to behave like them, while keeping his distance. In an unceasing, ambivalent conflict, he both seeks and avoids their presence, isolating himself from the world around him and withdrawing into nature, the sky, the river and the trees. One day, an unexpected event suddenly turns his world upside down, leading him to make a fatal mistake.
