Fast horses, sweaty faces, sharp shooters - this film has everything an entertaining Italo western needs. But here it's not some dirty cowboy who thrashes, shoots and smokes his way through the film, but the beautiful bandit Belle Starr, who fends for herself and has a bounty on her head. MY BODY FOR A GAME OF POKER is the only Italo western directed by a woman. Wertmüller stepped in to replace the original director, completely rewrote the script and put the hard-boiled female gunslinger centre stage.
