Daniel was born in Rome to African parents and grew up in a squat. Years ago he decided to leave to start a new life, but now he is forced to return. This time, however, he wears a police uniform and is asked to clear the old apartment complex where his mother and brother Patrick, who is now the leader of the squatters, still live. The police unit he belongs to is like a second family to Daniel, even though there are always reservations about the only black police officer in the department.
