IFFI 2024 Eröffnungsabend

The IFFI #33 will be opened on 28 MAY 2024, 7 pm, by festival director Anna Ladinig and representatives of the province of Tyrol and the city of Innsbruck at LEOKINO, ANICHSTRASSE 36, 6020 INNSBRUCK. This will be followed by a screening of the film MANGA D'TERRA by Basil da Cunha. After the film screening, we cordially invite you to celebrate the opening with us in the LEOKINO foyer with drinks and a buffet.

Rosinha has moved from Cape Verde to Lisbon, more precisely to the community of Reboleira, which is characterised by Cape Verdean immigration. Her ambition is to become a singer. For now, however, she has to navigate the daily difficulties of her new surroundings. Music, humour, hope and solidarity between women can always drown out the worries of the present. With MANGA D'TERRA, Da Cunha immerses herself in Reboleira and the Cape Verdean diaspora and creates a dreamlike film together with the inhabitants.
