I Will Be There Every Single Night

After a violent, transphobic attack in the evangelical church, 56-year-old Mel Rosário fights for her rights in court and tirelessly protests outside the church, which refuses her access. Determined to continue living out her faith, she makes protest posters night after night and stands at the church door - in the hope that one day she will be welcomed back. The documentary accompanies the transsexual hairdresser on her long journey to regain her freedom to practice her religion in Brazil under Bolsonaro's ultra-conservative government and in the shadow of the pandemic.
