Teenager Owen (Justice Smith) lives in the suburbs. He is shy and has hardly any friends. Maddy (Brigette Lundy-Paine) is similar, preferring to spend her time alone in front of the television. One day, when she introduces Owen to a TV series called ‘The Pink Opaque’, their lives change. They are no longer living the life of lonely teenagers in the suburbs. They have a shared obsession.
