Hunger.Macht.Profite: Food Fraud: An Organised Cime
Hunger.Power.Profits.12 - Film days on the right to food.
Horse meat labelled as beef. Honey diluted with cheap sugar syrup. Fake extra virgin olive oil. Food crime is a multi-billion dollar industry - and ranges from the cheapest to the most expensive ingredient.
Up to 10 per cent of our food is believed to be affected. "What we know for sure is that food fraud is growing exponentially, and it's getting more and more worrying," says a consumer advocate.
The film follows food fraud from the olive groves of Italy to the fish markets of France to the slaughterhouses of Poland - an investigation into the fake food industry.
