Hunger.Macht.Profite: AMUKA
Hunger.Power.Profits.12 - Film days on the right to food
The Democratic Republic of Congo alone could feed almost half of the world's population. 70 per cent of the Congolese population work in agriculture. Nevertheless, one in six of them suffers from hunger and one in two from malnutrition.
In view of this, farmers have joined together to form agricultural cooperatives. In "Amuka", we accompany some of them in their everyday lives. The film is a powerful and polyphonic portrait of Congolese farmers and agricultural workers.
