Heretic
When the charming Mr Reed (Hugh Grant) grinningly opens the gates to his house for them, Sister Paxton (Chloe East) and Sister Barnes (Sophie Thatcher) unsuspectingly fall into his trap. Their escape from the labyrinthine estate turns into a perfidious game of hide-and-seek in which the two missionaries cannot rely on their faith alone.
With HERETIC, Scott Beck and Bryan Woods (‘A Quiet Place’) stage a black-humoured cat-and-mouse game in which Hugh Grant teaches us to fear as a crazy, diabolical amateur philosopher. Grant, who is otherwise best known for charming rom-coms, gives his young co-stars Sophie Thatcher and Chloe East a run for their money and clearly enjoys his foray into the horror genre.
