Two sisters, one family bond - strongly stretched, but not torn. In HARD TRUTHS, Mike Leigh tells of the small and large cracks in the fabric of a London family with his fine sense of everyday drama and quiet humor. Pansy lives with her husband and son in a cultivated routine, but the pain of losing her mother has frozen her inside.
