Hans van Manen – Just Dance the Steps

Hans van Manen, one of the most important choreographers of the 20th and 21st centuries, celebrated his 90th birthday in July 2022. To mark this milestone, Willem Aerts accompanied the dance icon over several years - from rehearsals with Het Nationale Ballet and other companies to private moments - and once again demonstrates the unstoppable energy and class of the choreographer who redefined the way we think about ballet. The film celebrates its Austrian premiere in the DANCE MOVIES series. In the premiere Shifting Symmetries, the Vienna State Ballet dances Hans van Manen's Concertante.
